"Sometimes, just believing in someone is enough for them to start believing in themselves." -Kim Meeder

We all have seen them standing on the side of the road… some with card board signs or selling newspapers and drinks. We all, also, have driven by. We have grown immune to the atmosphere of humiliation surrounding them and subconsciously forsaken them like a disease. Do we deem them hazardous because of their circumstances? The survival instinct kicks in as we walk by them; we walk swifter and press our purses to our sides and avoid even the slightest eye contact. I have walked down streets flooded with crowds of the less fortunate, and I too have had that same reaction. Yet I say no more! We must wake up and realize there is more going on than what just affects us! Stir up your compassion and step out to make a difference!
